Well…I know, it has been ages since I’ve posted anything…crazy how time goes by so quickly, and the things I want to do, I never seem to find any time to do. The Holidays came and went so fast, and spring has appeared so soon, not much winter, which is OK with me, but the quilt I started for a winter project isn’t getting done with the warmer weather, lol. But I have been teaching my granddaughter Katelynn how to sew, and I must say, she has picked it up rather quickly. She seen I was making a quilt, for myself, finally, and she wanted to make herself one, so we found material in my stash she liked and cut out squares, and now she comes by and sews them together when she can. She is 9, and seems to enjoy sewing so far, and she also wants to learn to cook, so every once in awhile, we bake something. It’s funny, my girls never seemed interested in learning either, but she seems to want to learn everything I enjoy doing. I am sure she will outgrow it soon, lol, so I am enjoying it while she likes doing it! I must say though, my daughters are starting to do more in the way of crafty things now, and I really like that! OK…now on to my yard work, spring has sprung in Ohio, and I have plenty to do outside, so I should get busy. Hope to make a few lawn ornaments this spring, for on my new fence! Right after I get that quilt done!! Anyway, have a great day! Enjoy this beautiful weather while we have it. See ya next time.
I painted my new chair…Americana!

October 24th, 2011Summer is Here!
June 22nd, 2011I cannot believe summer is here already! Where was spring, Oh yeah…rainy, somewhat hot, and not too springy. lol I did get my flowers in, and a couple tomato plants planted, so doing ok, but have a few outdoor things I was hoping to get done before hot summer weather set in. Guess I will be painting and putting in my patio in the heat. The month of June is always sooo busy, with Birthdays, grandkids playing ball, garage sale, Bike Week, Weddings, planting, the list goes on, it seems to fly by so quickly. I always have such big plans for it, some things just never get done til later in the year, when it starts cooling down, so I hope I can get just a few more things done here in June, and not have soo much left over for fall. The Fourth is coming up in a week or so, making some plans for fireworks at the Conservation…maybe a cookout. They always have a good fireworks display, and I love the fireworks. Guess I am still a kid at heart. Well…off I go to bed, so I can get up for work in the morning, and hopefully Mike will be off to start putting up our fence and pool…ready for the pool!! Til next time, sweet dreams, and have a great tomorrow!
OK..back up and running!
March 14th, 2011Sorry…my webpage was not working right, had to have a few things done, but looks like I am back online. Thanks to all the new people signed up and reading my blog! I hope to be able to post alot more often, and get some handmade crafts online soon! Bear with me for the time being, until I get things all worked out. Hope everyone had a great Holiday season, and spring is just about here, I love spring! I see the daffodils are poking thru, yes! And my Irises are up…I am ready for planting a small garden this year. Stay tuned, I will be posting more about spring, and the garden soon. For now, have to finish up a few things before heading to bed, so have a great night, and better tomorrow!
Wow…I have not shared in forever!!!
November 30th, 2010I am very sorry, I have been neglecting my webpage for quite some time. Things in my household have been realllllyyyy crazy lately. So many new things going on, but mainly, I am working…woo-hoo. It is nice to be back to work, but sad that I don’t have the time to spend blogging. And if working wasn’t enough to keep me busy, my daughter and her family found a beautiful new home, and they moved out, so we have been unpacking 2 storage units. I love having my house back, but I have sooo much “stuff”, or junk as Mike would say…lol. Then the Holidays are here…which I am not ready for at all! I guess it is time to get it in high gear, and start thinking of what everyone will be getting this year. I have found a cute ornament to make for all the kids…I make one every year, I hope the kids like getting them as much as I like making them a new surprise ornament each year for their tree. It looks like everyone in my area is in the spirit this year too…lots of decorated houses already. I guess that is what I am doing this weekend, right after the craft fair at a local church I want to stop by….decorating the tree! And it was snowing just a little when we ran to the store earlier, I had to smile…but Mike on the other hand, wasn’t that excited…he is dreading the snow coming. He misses AZ. Me..I am an Ohio girl, and like to see the snow, but the cold, I am not such a fan of! Well…gotta get some sleep, work in the morning. I promise to not stay away to long this time. I have alot of catching up to do!! Have a great night, and a better tomorrow!
Very nice craft shows last weekend!
October 15th, 2010Last weekend I went with my friend Evie to the craft show in Van Buren, The Apple Fest…it was very nice, they have it at the school there, and had a few really cute things, not a huge show, but really nice. I was impressed, and it was free! That is always a boost. Got some Apple Butter from a nice old gentleman, so funny! And the apple butter was great! Then on Sunday, Mike and I headed to the AppleButter Fest in Grand Rapids, OH, I have gone there a few times in the past, and it is a great little town. Lots of cute little shops downtown to go in, and the most crafts of any fest around here. It is always so busy, but always friendly people there. The town is placed along a river, so that runs along the downtown street, and they have alot of activities going on along it. Then a few blocks over, they have booth after booth of crafters. It is wonderful! So much to see, I get tired, before I am finished looking. We met up with my cousin, Roxie and her hubby and daughter for a little bit, that was nice! She loves crafts like I do. This is the time of the year in Ohio I love…all the craft shows for fall!
Now I am ready to finish up some things, getting all ready for winter…and I am in a cooking mood this week. Been trying some new recipes. I love to try new foods, but Mike is kindof picky when it comes to trying new things, but the kids here are loving it. I got Trisha Yearwood’s new cookbook, you must get this, it has some great things in it…good comfort foods. She tries them out first, and I haven’t tried anything in it that wasn’t good. Love it! I have asked for her first cookbook for X-mas, hope someone in the family is reading this!!! lol
OK…gotta finish up supper…cabbage rolls, from the cookbook, smell sooo goooddd!
Have a great weekend…I am planning on it!
